About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

We purchased this crib and dresser/changer after only viewing it online. When it arrived and was assembled, it surpassed every expectation we had. The furniture appeared to have sharper angles in the photo than it did in person, giving it an overall "softer" appearance. The railing came with the teething guards and slides quietly and much easier than other cribs we looked at. The drawer at the bottom is perfect for storing sheets and blankets and slides into a solid piece making it look so much cleaner than others with a drawer under. The changer is great quality and will work wonderfully as a dresser when the changing pad and strap is removed. The dresser did have a chip in the wood when it arrived[...]but CSN made it a breeze to get a replacement and was a pleasure to deal with. Great set, great value,[...]!!

The dark wood is absolutely beautiful. The only thing that bothers me is the drop side, which was nowhere in the product description. I thought I was buying a safe, stationary side crib. I used a CSN recommended company to put it together and discovered the drop side after it was already put together! The description said "safe" but it is now recognized that drop sides are not safe.

This set is gorgeous, and looks better in person than in the pic!! I can't belive how much bigger the crib seems in person than as seen in the pic. Very sturdy set. Gorgeous finish (like a dark mahogany, not chocolate brown as we thought it would be, we're very pleased!). Unisex. Looks like much more expensive furniture. Instructions are not the best like others mentioned, but they were for this crib. Instructions need more steps, as they assume you know how to put the pieces together (you need to see the pictures provided carfully and use common sense! --like when putting the gliders, make sure holes are aligned with predrilled holes on wood --no they don't mention this, but you figure it out eventually-- and that the wheels are facing the way pictured-- use a magnifying glass if necessary). Chg Table/dresser is very nice as well and sturdy. Only cons: the back part is cheap. It slides on unevenly, so on one side there's 2 gaps, and it's flush on the other. It's a thin piece of MDF or something like that, not wood. But guess it doesn't matter much to us since it's against a wall. The other thing is that the drawers wable too much sideways once put in. My husband (the engineer) found that attaching a thin piece of wood (we used the wood mixers used for mixing paint) between the drawer gliders and the drawer itself made the drawer more snug and therefore we eliminated the sideways wabling we had. It looks and works great!
Overall, we absolutely love this set!

My husband and I are very pleased with the crib and the changer. Very classy look for the money paid. For the most part very easy to put together except for the tops of the ends of the crib (think we are going to have to wood glue on--worst case scenerio). [...] I put the changer together all by myself, and found it to be easy. I agree that the drawer on the crib will be best used for lighter items. Overall, great looking set!

This crib is gorgeous. The only complaint is that the drawer on the bottom of the crib seems cheeply made, but it will be fine for light items.

My husband put the set together, he is very handly, however his biggest complaint was that the parts werent labled like they state they are in the directions. Therefore he said it wasnt very easy to put together. Otherwise the set is great! Good quailty and I cant wait until my lil one gets to use it!
