This desk is nearly identical to the teen desks available through a national retailer - it does not have the wheels (which I didn't want anyway) and there are a few less color choices for the drawers (no big deal). The biggest difference is the cost comparison which is significant! My boys LOVE these desks and I would highly recommend them - great product and great value!

The metal construction was fine, but I was dissapointed in the desk top--particle board covered with a thin wood lookalike surface that doesn't look like it will stand the test of time.

I think the desk is a very good value given pricing I've seem for similar product at some higher end specialty stores.\n\nOne feature that is missing, which would be nice is the option to configure with desk opening on the right, instead of just the left.\n\nAnother nice feature would be the ability to order specific color door fronts, such as two green and one blue.\n\nThe desk was fairly easy to put together in about 1.5 hours.\n\nMy children really love it, along with some of the coordinating pieces.
