Both of my children, ages 5 and 2, have this book display in their rooms. It fosters independence by making it possible for them to find their favorite books. It also helps to avoid messes because they don't have to pull out all the books to see the covers. I love this product.

The product arrived damaged and got a very cheap looking when I opened the package. To avoid trouble returning the product, my husband just used extra black color screws and drilled extra holes and managed to set it up (good job!). Good thing is that the extra screws are hidden behind the books so you don't see them. After I put on the books the shelf looks fine cause the colorful chilren's books hide most of it anyway.

I love that my kids can see the books they want to read. This makes it nice I change the books every so often and my kids are able to read more of their books.

This shlef is perfect for my two and half year old daughter and niece (who I watch everyday). It promotes their self help skills because they are able to choose the book they wish to read,and even better, put it back where they found it. I also love the idea of seeing the fronts of all the books. It makes the shelf look much neater instead of piling books on an ordinary book shelf.

My 3 yr old loves the book display because he can see exactly what books he has and it looks great in his room. When he grows older and requires a different type of bookshelf it can be used as a magazine rack.\n\nThe only minor problem I see is that it does't fit books that are too thick (more than one inch). I would recommend it to people with young children.

THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT FOR YOUR HOME IN A CHILD'S BEDROOM OR PLAYROOM. IT WOULD ALSO WORK PERFECTLY IN DAYCARE THRU 1ST GRADE CLASSROOM. THIS IS A GOOD LOOKING PRODUCT, IT IS STABLE AND NOT EASILY TIPPED, IT HAS SMOOTH EDGES SO YOU WON'T GET CUT OR SCRATCHED AND IT DISPLAYS THE BOOKS NICELY AT A LEVEL FOR THE CHILDREN TO REACH GRAB A BOOK AND EASY ENOUGH TO RETURN THE BOOK. I DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!
