Guidecraft produced ten items when it was first started in 1964 in a small woodshop. Jason Fein purchased the company from his father in 1995 and has continued to develop the line, which now includes over 580 educational toys and furnishings. The company's size has changed, but its mission remains the same: stay true to the tradition of smart, beautifully crafted wood products that allow children's minds and imaginations to grow.
As Guidecraft turns 45, it is obvious that its best contributions lie in a commitment to continue doing what the company does best. The company always gives its loyal customers what they have come to expect: expert quality, excellent service and an ever-growing collection of creativity-inspiring products for children. Guidecraft's playful furniture is an exciting new extension to their product line. Guidecraft is committed to promoting the learning and excitement of children everywhere, and is working hard to earn and maintain your loyalty.

[...].I purchased this for my grandaughters' 2nd birthday. I will put the response in her exact words. "Oh my goodness, my pretty rocking chair! Look it, look it, my butterflies. Is it mine?" It was love at first sight. The rocker is so sturdy and is still big for her, but she could care less. Thank you for the memory.

Comments about Guidecraft Butterfly Rocking Chair:
Hubby actually IS a direction reader, but trashed these immediately because holes were not where they should be and such. He figured it out, evenutally.\n\nOur daughter loves her rocking chair. She is a tall 2-and-a-half year old and it is a little big for her, so she climbs in instead of sits down and can't rock it very far back, but she doesn't know any different and she'll grow into it.\n\nShe uses it every night to read a book and rock her babies before putting them to bed and climbing up in my lap for her turn. I must say, I love it. :-)
