I bought this so that my 2 year old could see his books and access them easily, hoping that it would encourage him to go grab the ones he wants and also put them away. Well, the majority of his collection consists of board books and the books disappear in the deep pockets, unfortunately. I would have liked to have seen a product like this that was made for the average toddler's collection of books with pockets that were shallow.

It stores a ton of books! Now that he can see them all, my son loves scanning them and then picking which one. He can put them back easily. It's nice too because it's not very deep so it can sit in a small space well.

I was in desperate need of a kid's bookshelf as I had all my daughter's books in a magazine holder, and well, that just wasn't cutting it. I searched high and low, online, in store, garage sales, etc. It's amazing how overpriced bookcases can be, some upward of $100+, [...] and it's just crazy. I luckily kept digging and came across it on here [...] Who wouldn't buy it? I'm definitely super satified with my purchase and my daughter loves it- it makes her feel like a big girl :)

We got this for our son's "big boy room". He loves it because it is just his size and it is great because he can easily find his books and then can put them back himself. It can't hold very many books which is a bummer but it works for us for now. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a bookshelf that their toddler can utilize themselves.

This bookshelf has a lot of room for book storage, but it's not too massive that it overtakes a room's decor. It's very sturdy, very good quality, and I highly recommend it.

I bought this bookshelf for my 18 months old son who had a hard time to reach his books on our bookshelf. He had to pull down all books to see the covers and choose one. This sling bookshelf seemed to be exactly what he needed. Actually he has no problems to take a book out or to put it back. Of course this sling shelf doesn't hold as many books as a normal shelf. But you can interchange the books. (And you will have not so many books lying around on the floor.) The big minus is that the slings are too deep. A normalsized board book doesn't poke out of the sling. And all slings have the same depth. So we will take out our sewing machine and improve that. I hope then the book shelf will display the books as intended. The shelf is also not very well made. The holes for the screws are very badly drilled. I had a hard time to mount it. One rod cracked open while I put the screw in. Conclusion: Very good idea, but should be implemented better.

This book shelf is GREAT for my 4 year old boy. I wanted a book shelf similar to what he has at daycare and what is at the library. This is perfect for little ones because they can see what books they have by the cover - not by the spine of the book. Although the shelves are canvas, I would have preferred wood. However, for the price it works for us really well. It was easy to put together. My son is really proud of his 'library' and it encourages him to read all of the books in his collection.

This is a well constructed product, and easy to assemble. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the size. I thought it was bigger, but this product is so well made that I am going to order another one! Thanks for a great product!

I love the looks of this bookshelf. I bought one for the family room and one for my 3-year old's bedroom. My only complaint is I wish the shelves were a little wider (deeper?) so you could put more books in each row -- Our book collection keeps growing and growing. My son loves it though. And I think it looks great (and much neater than before!)
