If its not strong enough for big kids to sit on, it makes it difficult. Most little kids like to have older siblings, parents, etc come into their little worlds.

Bought this for our 23-month-old to transition out of the crib. She sleeps great and hasn't missed the crib a bit! The rails on the side make her feel really comfortable (like a crib), but she can get in and out on her own so it feels like a big kid bed. Really easy to assemble, and sturdy enough for a toddler. NOT sturdy enough for Mama or Daddy to sit on the bed w/the toddler, however, but our priority was something she would sleep well in.

FedEx said they left it on the porch but it wasn't there. I called All Childrens Furniture and they initiated a search for the package with FedEx, and it showed up the next business day.

My husband assembled the bed in under an hour. He said that the instructions were very easy to follow and that everything was well labeled. He said that it was the easiest thing he has put together! When we introduced our 23 month old son to the bed, he immediately ran over to it, grinned, and clapped his hands. He loves the bench! The bed is very sturdy. Our son climbed all over the bed, and it didn't budge. Last night was his first night in the bed, and he slept in it the entire night without any problems. This the perfect in between crib and bed for my 3 year old. It is low to the ground and side panels create a cozy space. We like to sit the toys in the front bench. I research quite a bit this is the only bed I found at this price and this look.

Rather time consumting to put together but a nice value for the price. Higher priced Oeuf toddler beds are over twice the price. The twins love their new beds and I highly recommend a toddler bed over a larger twin bed to transition from a crib. Night time potty training allows you to quickly change a small mattress vs. the hassle of a larger bed.
