We bought it for our five year old son who will be sharing his room with our second child soon. The bottom of the drawers are so weak you can only fit a few items of clothing in them before they pop out through the bottom. The drawers are useless and that was why we bought the set, for the extra storage space. Within two months almost all of the bottom of the drawers were busted. We didn't return it because it took so long to put together we didnt want to have to take it apart again!

I love these bunk beds they provide wonderful storage for a small room and look great, my kids did not fight over the top bunk as the bottom bunk is like its own little cave area so they love them to.

This flexible, durable set is easy to clean and has grown with our childrens' changing needs. We got the Bunkbed Suite for our oldest son and daughter when they were sharing a room. Since then we've used the Loft in one room, flipping the desk around so it created a study space under the bed. And we've used the lower bunk in another room with the storage bed we later bought, and they go beautifully together. We also have the dresser and chest that we can switch from room to room as the kids' storage needs change. We're currently getting the bookcase headboard to put on the lower bunk in a third room that doesn't have room for a nightstand. The design of this set works just as well for our pre-school son as it does for our pre-teen daughter.

I bought this for my 5 year old, she loves it! Only down side is its hard to watch her tv laying in bed. She loves her desk, and the space under the bed (we didnt get the second bed) is great for her art desk and it has lots of storage which is perfect for her small room.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
