The first Trudi creations date back to the 1950’s. They sprang from the passion and talent of Mrs, Trudi Müller Patriarca, who began sewing soft toys for fun, giving rise to her unique style as a brand and over the years, to a business renowned for its care, design, and quality. Today Trudi has grown into a succesful 21st century company with an eye towards the future. With a goal of providing fun and innovative toys that are safe and of the highest-quality, Trudi has expanded its brand to include not only plush but also soft and wooden toys for children. The Trudi brands consist of Trudi, Sevi and most recently Olli Olbot. Our constant creative development and increasingly advanced technological research have enabled us to offer high quality soft toys while still maintaining refined and sophisticated designs. Our creations are made adopting the most precise production systems in order to ensure our customers’ safety. To closely oversee the quality of our products “Trudi Hong Kong Ltd.” was established in 2000 that places our own employees in the production factories to oversee the production and ensure that quality and safety are our number one priority. The prototypes of the Trudi creations are all hand-made. Based on the paper patterns prepared by our designers, they are sewn, finished, inspected and brushed by hand. We use only fireproof and nontoxic raw materials of the highest quality. Each non-textile part used inside a soft toy is enclosed in a fabric bag to contain it securely within the plush toy. We check each product with a metal-detector and by X-ray to identify the presence of any metal pieces, especially if they are extremely small, for example a sewing needle tip. Moreover, we use external, independent science laboratories to carry out a wide battery of tests to ensure our compliance with both ASTM (United States) and EN-71 (European) standards. We thoroughly test for the presence of any hazardous chemicals including phthalates (used in plastics) and azo dyes (coloring agents). You can trust and rely on our age grading system. All of our plush products conform to or exceed all European and United States laws and regulations. The plastic eyes of our plush toys are double fabric-backed and ultrasonically sealed from inside the toy so that they will never come loose. Our fabrics are double woven and our seams are double stitched so that the plush will not come out. Our plush products are machine-washable and come with a limited lifetime warranty. All suppliers who work with Trudi sign the Company’s Ethical Code which forbids child exploitation, forced labor, and racial discrimination.
